rain dish is the recording project of Netherlands-based artist Ismaël Heijnis, best known for founding the Dutch DIY label Dying Dutchman Records.
Heijnis released his first solo work, apparition, in 2023 -- a collection of spontaneous, stream-of-consciousness demos recorded with no real plan.
Now, rain dish is pleased to announce Line the Ground, Silver Sky, the first full-length rain dish album set for release on Nov. 7. Recorded between the winter of 2024 and the fall of 2025, the album marks a significant departure from apparition.
Heijnis’ background in the DIY scene continues to shape his work. Through Dying Dutchman Records, he has released music and physical editions in collaboration with artists such as A Wonderful, German Error Message, Hello Shark, mage tears, and vhs ghost. The label’s emphasis on community and collaboration remains central to Line the Ground, Silver Sky, which features contributions from 10 different artists recorded over two years.
